The “Lush” Way to Pamper Your Skin!
I took a little trip down to Lush after the utterly convincing spiel I heard from my best friend. I believe the description that lead me to my car and straight to the mall was the “explosion of relaxation and magic in your bathtub”. And of course the free samples.
I had never stepped into Lush because all I saw as I walked past was soap and I thought, “really how exciting can soap be?” And let me tell you, it is very fucking exciting. Everything is perfect, the smells are enchanting, and there is so much more than just soap. The employees are wonderful and eased every single indecision I had. I brought home a bath bomb, a face cleanser, tonic water, and a sample of aquamarine cleanser (I only asked for it because it had seaweed in it & looked cool).
The bath bomb was unimaginably perfect. I got the Twilight bath bomb which had bits of seaweed that acted as glitter and made my tub look like the galaxy. The water was purple, glittery, silky-soft, and smelled like warm and fuzziness. I heated up some tea to have in the tub and I slept like a baby. I only wish I would have used less water because once I got in I realized I needed to drain some of it out. Look at the water and those bubbles! It is simply magical and breathtaking and feels like the galaxy fell in and exploded in my bathtub! Isn’t it beautiful?
Angels on Bare Skin
I asked for a cleanser for gentle skin. My skin gets a little dry sometimes and this one left my skin silky soft but not soft enough that I felt like I had leftover lotion or face wash on my face because I really, really hate that. The feeling of having oily skin and wanting to wash it again. Lavender and clean soft silky sheets is what my face feels like. It’s different I felt like I had to use more of it but you just have to get it pretty wet so it spreads easily.
Breath of fresh Air Tonic Water
I got this one because I liked the smell of it more than the other and because it leaves your skin soft. I know, I have been describing everything as soft. Trust me though, it will be the exact word you think of once you try these out! I have pretty sensitive skin and like I said I don’t like the feeling of having products on my face and this one feels like I simply sprayed some water on my face. By the way, cotton makes a very big difference and these cotton pads by Sephora feel like heaven. I got them as a gift but I genuinely recommend them because I am definitely buying them once I through with them!
I love everything about Lush and the products I got and I got the smallest amount of each which lasts about a month or two and cost me around $7. I honestly could not imagine purchasing it online since you get to test all of them in the store at Millennia. However, if you want to buy these online I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do! I recommend them 100%! Except for the aquamarine cleanser because it was very pasty and left my face that way too.
I can unquestionably declare that I understand fully what it feels like to have skin as soft as a baby’s bottom because that is exactly what my face feels like. So thank you Lush!
I’d love to hear any products/cleansers any of you have tried! Any suggestions or recommendations? Leave it in the comments below 🙂
