A Little Bit About The Place

Welcome to the Sunshine State! Florida is home to me. It’s also home to all the most famous theme parks, shopping malls, and it’s lovely beaches.

The weather is always warm pretty much all year round. Whether you’re traveling solo, with your kids, or with the girls, add Florida to your bucket list!

Things to Know Before You Travel

Language: English (and lots of Spanish down in Miami)

Heads up. The voltage in the USA is 120V, and they mostly use type A and B plugs. I’d recommend bringing a converter just in case.

Best Time to Travel.

  • To Beat the Crowds: October and February
  • Spring and Summer: March-September
  • Winter: November-February. The weather won’t be too cold. My favorite time around the holidays is the theme parks! They’ll be lots of beautiful Christmas decorations!
  • The weekend right after labor day is one of the cheapest and least crowded weekends to visit the theme parks!

Getting Around. Car Rentals and Uber.

Safety. Florida is very safe. Even for female solo travelers. I would recommend buddying up during nights out, as it can be unsafe walking alone at night in downtown Miami and Orlando.

Suggested daily budget – 196-500+ USD (Note: This is only a suggested budget. ) Transportation, meals, theme parks can be pricey, especially at the parks. Hotels are around 150-200 USD per couple. However, if you’re planning a high-end stay, eating at more luxurious places, and visiting the parks, your budget will lie around the higher end of the suggested budget.
