How to pack for the perfect picnic brunch

How dreamy does a picnic brunch at the beach with your besties or your other half sound? A cute little set up with rose, charcuterie and an arrangement of cheese and you cant forget about dessert!

My girlfriends and I decided to make that picnic a reality during Miami Swim Week. Easier said than done, trust me! Trying to make our picnic as picturesque as we did is a lot of work but I have a few tips on how to make it as easy as possible.

What to pack for a picnic:

charcuterie/cheese board
Baguette
fruit
macarons
picnic basket
oversized wicker bag
beach blanket(s) or table cloth
plastic plates and cups
napkins
rosé or wine of preference

Packing

The key is to pack light and to know how to pack. If you have a lot to take (cameras, plates, props, blankets) I suggest you buy one of the picnic baskets that come with accessories that way you can fit your food (and maybe your blanket) in there and have another wicker bag for everything else you need (trays, cameras, props, etc).

Tip: Don’t overpack. You’ll regret it and probably forget something. We accidentally left the macarons in the car and didn’t realize it until almost half way through our picnic! BUT if you’re going to shoot then I suggest bring along one of those beach carts if anyone has one.

Food

Order your charcuterie board from a restaurant nearby and grab a baguette, your wine, and some fruit from your nearest market.

Miami beach ladies!! We stopped by South Point Tavern. If you’re in Miami, I definitely recommend it! They have an excellent happy hour too!

Don’t pack any dessert that will melt (chocolate)! We picked some of the most delicious macarons from Janette and Co in Miami! Again, if you’re in Miami, they are the best macarons I’ve had here. You should try them.

While it’s not the best idea to have a summer picnic in Florida, it’s still a fun date for you and your girls or your boyfriend.

Location

If you live in Florida or Orlando, I’m attaching a list of parks and beaches that allow alcohol if you feel like taking in some sun and a bit of rose. All Florida State Parks allow consumption of alcohol in designated areas so it’s best to call and ask once you find the park you want to visit.
