Last Minute Dorothy Costume DIY
Halloween is right around the corner and plans always seem to come up unexpectedly and if you’re anything like me (indecisive and leaving things to the last-minute) this may help you. I went as Dorothy to a last-minute gathering we were invited to. I was thinking of what I could possibly be with only the things I could pull out of my closet. I didn’t want to leave my house to find the nearest Michael’s or Halloween store because the words, card, swipe, or cash are now nonexistent in my vocabulary. Just, no.
So, if you’re looking for a very simple, pretty cute, and quite affordable costume, this is it. Or if your budget allows you to spend but are looking to buy something you can wear year-long, this is also it.
You’ll need:
- Reb ribbon
- White (large) ribbon
- Light blue dress
- Red shoes: I wouldn’t think twice about buying THIS PAIR.
- Knee high socks
- Straw purse
For the bow: Cut a long enough piece of both ribbons to tie around your waist. After making a bow with the larger white ribbon use the red ribbon to wrap around and tie the bigger bow to stay intact.
I had everything at home but you can easily find everything at any crafts store or even a supermarket. This post is pretty short and straight to the point. I hope it inspires any last-minute Halloween costumes!
