5 Clever Ways to Step up Your Spring Style Game
When life give you lemons you should technically prepare yourself to make some lemonade. Of course, most of the time I say fuck the lemons I’m just going to grab a cup of water because I don’t have time for that. And then I get a little jealous of all the lemonade drinkers and decide to finally give in an put in the effort to pour myself a glass of home-made lemonade. I am a blogger, more specifically, a fashion blogger. I should be keeping up with the latest trends and picking up a new look of my own every time the seasons change. Of course, most of the time I don’t. Every morning I stalk every Instagram OOTD related hashtag and Pinterest a new look every morning before I get ready until I finally catch the perfect look I can recreate for the new season. The lack of motivation seems to influence my look once in a while, especially when my schedule is jam-packed and all I want is a damn can San Pellegrino lemonade.
Spring has unexpectedly punched me across the face and I’m zealously liking every pastel colored look and bright and flower based outfit on Instagram. I’m not sure if it was motivation, so to speak, or a sudden rage of jealousy and stress and a bit of anger that really got me thinking. I should probably do a few more bloggerish how-to’s and self-motivating lists to really get these trendy pick-me-ups going. And what better way to start the spring but with a week full of ways to step up your spring style game.
1. Pantone
Pantone colors are always “in” right?
2. Bright Handbag
If a bright colored tote doesn’t sprung your spring then I don’t know what the hell will.
3. Pattern Mixing
I think the level of pattern mixing expertise influences how many patterns you can mix and clearly, I’m at level 1. I’m pretty sure my objective is to be at Mindy Lahiri’s level of infinity.
4. Floral Prints
I’m a little iffy on floral prints but the earthy floral prints are spectacular. I’m not too fond of pink floral. I look like 3 year old pretending to be a ballerina.
5. Pop of White
I wore three pair of white pants, a white dress, and a pair of white flats last week. They look like I have gone mud wrestling from all the coffee stains and who the hell knows. But this white robe is perfection. I am wearing what I’m sure is a bathrobe and I feel very enthusiastic about it.

I think you pulled off pattern-mixing perfectly 😉 As long as the color palette is pleasing, and the scale of the differing patterns varies greatly from one another, you’re golden!
