DSC_0964At this day and age can trends truly be in and out of style? Of course, every season we see new ones seem appear and old ones reappear but really are any of these trends truly dead or do they simply just evolve? The denim trend is endless and I’ve said it before. It never goes away but simply learns from its mistakes, evolves, and gives it her best the next time around. It is like going through puberty. I mean I don’t think anyone will ever make the mistake of pulling a Britney and Justin anytime soon. Although I’m sure Olivia Palermo and her lovely man can pull it off and make the matching denim look an exclusive new trend. We cannot say a trend is out of style when in this millennial era, our lives are filled with an exuberant amount of influencers who bring these trends back and let the roam our thoughts at any point in time. Instead of googling for what trend is in we google what trend we want in. We find reoccurring trends on Pinterest, Facebook, Tumblr, or even Instagram and make any trend we’ve set our mind on be in whenever we most want it.

Now let’s take the military trend. You’ve seen those army green pants, the military blazers, or statement army boots time and time and again. I’ve decided to dress the part and feel out my thoughts. How could I make a pair of cargo pants somehow look like I haven’t just tried to hike up a mountain or dropped off the kids at soccer practice? Well, mini vans and sneakers are definitely out for this one.

I like the whole chic retrospective so pairing these pants with heels was pretty much a done deal. A statement purse and a minimalist piece of jewelry can do wonders to your outfit, especially if you’re trying to seem like you’ve got your shit together. To keep things army like and what not, I felt neutral tones and pairing those pants with a linen blazer would definitely keep this military trend evolving to something a bit more sophisticated. I’m always a little shy on trying out something new because my body-shape clearly won’t allow for any overalls, capris, or almost anything strapless as badly as I want it because it’s just not pretty. You really don’t want to see me in capris. So I thought I’d share my chic take on cargo pants if your size comes nothing close to that of a victoria secret model but you’re wanting to be a little daring. I have nothing else to say but pick out a pair of heels, a tote, and a white blazer to go with those cargo pants you’re not too sure of wearing this week.
